Our service design takes environmental factors very well into consideration – we strive to develop sustainable products and services and therefore make sure the environmental impact is considered all the way from product design to service processes. We use water and energy efficiently in our processes not to burden the environment by wasting resources. Also, we optimize our delivery routes and laundry locations for best possible performance without comprising the environment.

When we design our products, we aim to maximize their lifecycle by using materials that will last long in use and in our laundry processes. All of our workwear is designed so that the garments can easily be repaired if needed. We actually repair workwear 3 000 000 times per year – that’s right, 3 000 000 times per year! As opposed to the general trend in the textile industry, we do not produce contemporary clothing but design high-quality garments that last for years.

One of our most important environmental acts is saving natural resources by only producing workwear to actual need. We save raw materials and other resources on our own workwear production by manufacturing garments specifically on order instead of keeping them in storage.

We aim to reduce the amount of textile waste in several different ways. Not only do we make our workwear repairable, but we also minimize cutting waste by using fabrics efficiently. Most of our products do not end their lifecycle when they are discarded from their original purpose, but continue serving in other forms – either as our own products or new products for other companies. Lindström textiles have been given a new life in many different forms: bath robes for children, shopping bags, and wipers just to name a few examples.

Our goal is to be the best service company in the world. This means that we are constantly developing our services and on the lookout for how we could further develop our processes.

Continuous development is necessary for several reasons. By developing our service processes, for example workwear laundering, we ensure the best possible service for our customers while improving our own efficiency and environmental friendliness.

As an example, by optimizing the use of detergents, we have been able to reduce the washing temperature significantly, even as much as from 70 to 40 degrees celsius in some of our laundries. This saves energy and is thus more environmentally friendly without compromising the hygienic outcome. Our process development is actually officially connected with our environmental goals, ensuring that efficiency never comes at the expense of the environment.

Everything we do, we do for our customers. Outstanding customer experience is one of the fundamentals of our business and we continue to work systematically to maintain – and even improve – the high level of customer satisfaction we have achieved. We want to keep our customers happy and make sure that is happening is several different ways.

We have adopted a customer oriented approach to our service and product development. For example, we design new workwear collections together with our customers to ensure the clothing truly serve the needs of the users. We partner up with our customers to develop new innovations – for example our smart storage solution that was originally developed for the need of one customer. We also continuously improve our services based on customer feedback – our e-service for example went through a complete renewal based on customer feedback.

We genuinely appreciate everything our customers have to say and therefore give them the chance to be heard and influence how we develop our services. We believe listening to our customers is the key to achieving our goal of becoming the best service company in the world. Together we can achieve great things.
