The Returnable Bag Service supports retailers to offer the Returnable Bags to consumers for a small deposit. The person can then use the bag as they need and then return it to the shop, where the deposit is refunded. The dirty or damaged bags are then collected, washed and maintained at Lindström’s laundry – and then restocked to the store for use.

The Returnable bag started its story from a co-creation project in Finland in 2018 and has rapidly attracted attention around the Globe. At this point, the bag has gained attention in Finland, India, Lithuania, Sweden, Estonia, Croatia, and numerous other Lindström countries are showing interest. The goal is to replace all single-use plastic bags with reusable, recyclable and sustainable returnable shopping bags.
