The Estonian Competition Authority gave its approval to the acquisition of Tallinna Pesumaja OÜ operating in Kohila by Lindström OÜ. The contract was signed yesterday on September 5th. With this acquisition, Lindström will significantly grow its volume of production on the market of hotel textiles rental services and the company will increase its capacity to service clients in the medical sector as well.

According to Juha Laurio, the CEO of Lindström, the company has been open and looking for options for expanding its business in order to broaden the range of services, introduce more innovative solutions and ensure the company’s position in a growing and highly competitive market of textile services.

“As a result of the acquisition of Tallinna Pesumaja, we will be able to service clients in the healthcare sector where Lindström has remarkable expertise on markets outside Estonia,” says Kadrian Jaagund, Managing Director of Lindström Estonia. “In addition to workwear and bed linen, hospitals also use our environment-friendly solution for hygienic hand care,” she added.

Tallinna Pesumaja has offered high quality textile services in the hospitality and healthcare industry for over 20 years. The company currently employs over 50 employees.

Lindström confirms that the change of ownership of Tallinna Pesumaja will not bring along any inconveniences or significant changes to neither the employees nor the clients of either companies – all processes will continue as they have so far. With the acquisition, Lindström will now employ close to 200 people in Estonia.

Based on the terms of the contract, the value of the acquisition will not be published.
