“Michaela´s extensive background in working global organizations together with her ability to build strong partnerships with various stakeholders across a multi-national environment and organizations will clearly benefit also Lindström as we are building HR to support our business and global personnel even better. I am very happy to welcome Michaela to the team”, says Lindström’s President and CEO Juha Laurio.

“I am excited to join Lindström and contribute to the mission and efforts around sustainability and circular economy solutions as the lead of the HR. The company has made a fantastic journey over the past 170 years, and I feel honored to be part of this successful team bringing the business and the innovations forward towards more sustainable solutions for the customers and for the climate”, Haglund comments.

The strategic cooperation between Lindström and Rester to promote the product development aimed at closed loop solution of textiles and the systemic change of the entire textile industry continues strong after the personnel changes. Lindström is a pioneer in its own industry in terms of sustainability: the company has e.g., set itself the goal of recycling 100% of its textile waste by 2025 and aiming for carbon neutrality in 2035.

“Sustainability is at the core of Lindström’s strategy and business development, and I feel that it is natural to lead these responsibilities as one entity. Our sustainability goals are ambitious and therefore very motivating. I am excited about this opportunity to build sustainable growth and grow myself at the same time.
