Finnish multinational textile services group Lindström rewards globally all its production workers who have not had the opportunity to work remotely during Corona pandemic. With the reward, Lindström wants to show its appreciation of the valuable work and commitment their employees have given during exceptionally challenging times. The bonuses will be distributed in all countries where Lindström operates, and globally the bonuses total to nearly EUR 1 million.
The corona pandemic has treated workers differently. As of last spring, many switched to working from home office and kept physical contact with other people to a minimum. But not everyone had the choice or the option to work remotely or to stay in a relatively controlled environment like the office.
“Hundreds of Lindströmers, for example our textile care workers in our laundries and our team members on the factory floor in our Prodem operations, have continued their daily work in the frontline of our services with the same commitment and quality as always throughout the pandemic. They have kept our services up and running for our customers, of which many operates in society´s critically important sectors like healthcare and pharma industry and have contributed significantly to the continuation of our reputation as a reliable partner and competitive company. Now we want to thank them for their valuable work and personal input”, says Juha Laurio, CEO of Lindström Group.
The reward will be paid to all Lindström´s frontline employees in 24 countries during the first quarter of 2021. The bonus is equal to one week’s salary and globally the total amount of these bonuses is approximately EUR 1 million.
